This is an open European standard which allows individuals to make one-to-one or group calls. Each radio and user group has the equivalent of a telephone extension number and users need not change channel to communicate.

MPT Signalling
This is an open European standard with a global presence. Most often used by larger multi-site organisations with higher radio usage, it is particularly good at maximising the use of a limited frequency allocation. Users on MPT systems can call individuals and groups quickly and easily. In addition MPT radio systems provide a wide range of more sophisticated tools, including emergency features, the ability to send short text messages between users and to identify who is calling.
